This workshop will introduce participants to specific process
markers and intervention strategies that are designed to enhance
the integration of narrative and emotion processes for emotion
regulation, working alliance and new meaning making in effective EFT psychotherapy. Using therapy examples drawn from the York I
Depression Study, four narrative-emotion problem markers (same
old story, empty story, unstoried emotion, and broken story)
will be described and effective intervention strategies
discussed. Additionally, the importance of facilitating the
emergence of three narrative-emotion emergent meaning markers
(unexpected outcome story, untold story, and healing story) for
new identity construction and meaning-making in EFT will also
addressed.
Participants earn 3 continuing education (C.E.) credits
through Division 32
(Society for Humanistic Psychology).
Division 32 is approved by the American
Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for
psychologists. Division 32 maintains responsibility for this
program and its contents. |
